Wig wearing bank robber arrested

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Fast acting First District Cleveland Police Officers arrested a wig wearing bank robber Wednesday afternoon.

Around 2:30 p.m., First District zone cars received a radio assignment to respond to the Huntington Bank located at 13820 Lorain Avenue for a bank robbery.

Upon arrival, car personnel were informed by bank employees that the bank was robbed by a white female with short red hair.

As officers were gathering information a second bank alarm was received for the Charter One Bank located at 13709 Lorain Avenue.

While touring the area First District Officers apprehended the suspect as she was attempting to exit the Charter One Bank.

The female was taken into custody without incident, placed under arrest and found to be wearing a red wig.
