LAKEWOOD, OH (WOIO) -

37 year old Gregory Bryant of Lakewood is now charged with rape.

He is accused of raping a 15 year old boy.

19 Action News reporter Scott Taylor broke this story after Cleveland Police picked up Bryant on Tuesday night at his home. The police report says the crime took place at the suspect's home in Lakewood.

Scott Taylor knocked on the front door of Bryant's home. Keith Brown, a friend of Bryant, tells Scott Taylor the teen came to him and exposed the crime.

So Brown contacted the Police.

"His Grandmother is deaf and he didn't feel comfortable talking to her about it and he came over crying saying that Greg raped him," said Keith Brown.

Brown says Bryant met the teen through friends at a nursing home where Bryant works.  He believes Bryant was in a relationship with the boy.

"It's wrong. First of all it's illegal. You just ruined that kid's life by raping him.  That's five kinds of crazy," added Brown.

Bryant is set to appear in front of a judge on Thursday morning.
