TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo police are looking for a suspect after a stabbing left one person dead and injured another in east Toledo Thursday morning.

Around 2:50 a.m., police received a call from a woman who said she was in the 2000 block of Woodford Street and a man had been stabbed.

Upon arrival, crews found Christopher Ogden, 40, and Brenda Watts, 36, with wounds. Ogden appeared to be in critical condition and Watts had a less serious wound. They were both taken to the hospital.

Ogden later died around 3:30 a.m. Watts is expected to recover.

Police blocked off Woodford Street between Whittemore Street and Consaul Street for hours Thursday morning while investigating the stabbing.

"We're at the stage in the investigation where we're taking in information, and processing the leads, trying to come up with a suspect. At this time, we do not have any suspect in custody," said Sgt. Joe Heffernan with the Toledo police.

Anyone with more information is urged to call CrimeStoppers at 419-255-1111.
