Scottsdale, AZ - Michael Brantley didn't waste any time putting the Indians on the board on Thursday, jumping on a 3-0 pitch from Ian Kennedy in the first inning for a three-run home run, as the Tribe took one from the Arizona Diamondbacks, 5-4.
Carlos Carrasco, battling Scott Kazmir for the 5th spot in the rotation, went five innings, giving up four runs on eight hits.
Earlier in the day, the Indians sent RHP Trevor Bauer, LHP Scott Barnes and RHP Corey Kluber down to Triple-A Columbus.
