BAY VILLAGE, OH (WOIO) -

Faculty at Bay High School are on high alert after a student discovered a bomb threat written on a bathroom wall.

According to an email sent to parents by the school's Principal, Jason Martin, the message depicted a cartoon-style bomb shown alongside the date, March 28, and the time of 9 a.m.

Bay Village police searched the building Wednesday afternoon for any signs of danger, but they did not find anything suspicious.

Police officers will conduct another campus search this morning. The school will be open today, but the principal said it may close if the situation becomes dangerous.

This isn't the first time Bay High School has been the target of a violent threat this school year. In December, the faculty found a cryptic note that read, "gun in the school."
