WILLIAMS COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) - -

An Indiana man was seriously injured when he drove into a commercial tractor-trailer Thursday night in Williams County.

Around 7:30 p.m., Racee Lee Austin May was driving westbound on U.S. Route 6 near state Route 66 in a Chrysler LeBaron. Troopers say he went off the left side of the roadway into a ditch, then drove back onto the roadway, where he struck a truck traveling eastbound.

May, 20, of Fort Wayne, IN, was flown to a Toledo hospital. As of 5 a.m. Friday, he is in critical condition.

The driver of the truck, David Ayers, 57, of Molino, FL, only suffered minor injuries and was treated on the scene.

The intersection was closed while crews assisted.
