CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The woman who survived an attack by a man in the same neighborhood where two women have been murdered says she felt helpless.

And she's grateful to Good Samaritans because they broke up the attack.

The incident happened early Saturday morning along East 116th and Forest in Cleveland as the woman walked to the Rapid to go to work.

She says a man grabbed her scarf. Then he dragged her by the legs behind a building. People in a car passing by saw what was happening and stopped. The attacker ran off. The woman says he had his face covered, and he had gloves with tape on them.

She would like to find out who those witnesses were to thank them and see if they noticed any more clues.
