AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

John Lehman's guitar is forever silenced after the talented musician was killed Saturday night at an Akron McDonald's.

His friends have fond memories of him. He expressed himself through his music.  He was a talented musician who had several guitars.

Lehman loved his music and spent lots of time at a local record shop. John has been coming to this shop ever since we were open.

Lehman's foster parent was quoted as saying he was a good kid who always helped people and never got into trouble.

He was just 28-years-old, shot 3 times near the back of McDonalds.

Police don't know if the killing was in retaliation for words exchanged earlier with the gunman or if it was just random but detectives are asking for the public's help in solving the crime.

A reward of up to $10,000.00 is being offered for information leading to the identification or arrest of the person(s) responsible.

The reward is being offered by Summit County Crimestoppers Inc., The U.S. Marshals Office Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and McDonalds.

The suspect is described as a medium complexioned black male, 22 to 27 years old, 5'07" - 5"10", 150 - 180 lbs., with a moustache, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The suspect was last seen in a dark colored SUV, possibly a Ford Expedition or a Cadillac Escalade with tinted windows.
