School fire in Louisville started by lightning strike

LOUISVILLE, OH (WOIO) -

Multiple firefighters were called to the scene of a school fire in Stark County.

It started around 2:30pm Wednesday at Louisville Middle School at 1300 S. Chapel Street.

Officials tell 19 Action News the fire started on the roof by a lightning strike.

There were no injuries and all students were evacuated safely out of the building.  The middle school has grades 6-8.

 Officials say this is the second time in recent years that the building has been struck by lightening.
