After allowing seven runs in less than four innings to the Yankees on Tuesday, the Indians sent Carlos Carrasco to Triple-A Columbus.
The team called up Corey Kluber from the Clippers, and will start Wednesday night against New York.
Kluber, who was optioned to Columbus on March 21, made his 2013 debut with the Clippers in a 7-4 win at Indianapolis on April 5. He went six innings allowing three runs on six hits with four strikeouts. He was 0-0 with a 6.43 ERA in 3 games this spring with the Indians.
