CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Councilman Zack Reed was back in court on Friday morning for his latest drunk driving case.

Not a lot was done in court, it was largely a procedural matter. But 19 Action News learned a few things about how the drunk driving case against Reed will proceed.

Retired Willoughby Judge Larry Allen will hear the case. Reed appeared with Attorney Kevin Spellacy, and asked the judge for a jury trial.

Reed is facing drunk driving charges for the third time. This time, he was arrested at Rockwell and East 9th after an evening in the Warehouse District. Police have dashcam video of Reed's arrest and his comments to officers while in the back seat.

Judge Allen set a second and final pretrial for May 24. Reed's attorney wouldn't say if he would attempt to work out a plea. Reed left court without comment.

The judge also ordered Reed's car impounded.
