Cleveland (WOIO) - No LeBron, No Wade, No Bosh...no problem. Playing without their stars, as the regular season winds down, the Miami Heat still had enough to hold off the Cavaliers on Monday night, 96-95 at Quicken Loans Arena.
Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters and Tristan Thompson each threw down 16 points for the Cavaliers, who rallied in the final minute to pull within one. But Irving's final chance was stripped away by former Cleveland State star Norris Cole, and the Cavs, in their final home game, suffered their 57th defeat.
Rashard Lewis led the Heat with a game-high 19 points, and Cole added 16.
The Cavs will close out the season on the road, in Charlotte, on Wednesday night.
