STRONGSVILLE, OH (WOIO) -

Still no deal in the Strongsville teacher's strike, but, Thursday night parents and students got a chance to sound off at the first school board meeting since the teachers crossed the picket line.

Outside the meeting teachers lined the street as a sign of solidarity. Inside hundreds of people packed the high school auditorium to voice their concerns about the strike that is now in it seventh week.

"It is my belief that the school district has negotiated in good faith and has offered our teachers a fair and equitable contract," said one parent.

"I think they have a right to strike. I'm not going to condone everyone's practice how it's been going, but I think they are condemning 385 teachers for the acts of a few. This is all I'm hearing is teacher bashing and I think it needs to stop," said an angry parent.

At Thursday night's meeting a grade resolution was proposed that would combine third and fourth quarters.

The teachers have been off the job since March third. Right now there are no negotiation meetings scheduled.
