Akron police investigate armed home invasion

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Four people were robbed during a home invasion Monday night in Akron.

It happened in the 1800 block of South Arlington Street around 11 p.m.

The victims reported the suspect(s) knocked on the apartment door then entered armed with handguns. The suspect(s) demanded the victims property then fled in a 2013 Dodge Charger belonging to one of the victims.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect(s) took the victims cell phones, $100 in cash, a pair of shoes and keys.

The vehicle was recovered later in the evening at Bruner Street and Ackley Street. Quamaine RJ Young, 23 was charged with Receiving Stolen Property (Auto).

Detectives are following up on Young's arrest to see if he is involved in the home invasion.
