WILLIAMS COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) - -

The pilot of a small plane is dead after a crash in Williams County.

The crash happened around 8-30 Saturday morning just north of Bryan on OH-15, between County Roads G and F.

The State Highway Patrol says 62-year-old Leslie Dean and 51-year-old Kent Hyne of Ann Arbor tried to land their small plane at the Bryan Aero Park.

When another plane started to land in the opposite direction, Dean tried to avoid it. His plane then lost power and crashed into a field near the runway.

Dean and Hyne were both transported to the hospital by life flight.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says Dean died as a result of the injuries he sustained in the crash around 1 this afternoon.

The Williams County Sheriff's office, the Williams County EMS and the Bryan Fire Department responded to the crash.

A viewer on the scene captured video of the life flight heading towards the hospital and posted the clip on Youtube.
