Kansas City, MO (WOIO) - Everything came together for the Tribe on Monday night, as the bats exploded, and Ubaldo was phenomenal, and the Indians closed out the 11-day road trip with a 9-0 win over the Royals at Kauffman Stadium
Jason Kipnis got the Indians going in the first, taking Wade Davis deep for his first home run of the season, and in the third, Asdrubal Cabrera doubled the lead with an RBI single, scoring Michael Brantley.
But it was in the fifth where the Tribe took off, chasing Davis with a six-run inning, and putting this game away. Cabrera once again brought Brantley home, this time with an RBI double, and Mark Reynolds and Carlos Santana followed up with RBI's of their own, before Ryan Raburn blasted a three-run home run to give the Indians an 8-0 lead, and Davis an early shower.
Raburn added his second home run of the game in the 8th.
As for Jimenez, it was his strongest outing of the season, as he went seven innings, stifling the Royals' bats by surrendering only three hits, and no runs.
The Indians return home to host the Phillies on Friday.
