CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH (WOIO) -

A teenage member of the Cuyahoga Falls Police Explorers program was busted for buying alcohol over the weekend.

The teen, 17, was busted walking out of the Circle K on East Bath Road with a six-pack of Mike's Hard Lemonade Saturday.

The Circle K clerk told police she did ask for the teen's ID, and he flashed his cadet badge. She said she assumed it was a police badge, and that he was 21.

The teen has been charged with impersonating a police officer and underage purchase of alcohol.

Officers confiscated the teen's cadet badge and uniform. The Cuyahoga Falls Police Explorers program works with teenagers interested in law.
