BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

Police in Broadview Heights have arrested a man in connection with the double fatal accident that happened on I-77.

Antony Ford is charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, three counts of aggravated vehicular assault, one count of reckless operation, one count of driving under non compliance license suspension and one count of driving under a judgement license suspension.

A total of seven vehicles were involved in the April 23 crash.

Police say Ford, 22, was swerving in and out of traffic due to admitted impatience.

Ford ended up on the right shoulder, and then swerved back into traffic before losing control.

He hit the first vehicle and then struck a guardrail. The first vehicle crashed through the guardrail, bounced into the air and landed on a third vehicle.

The driver of the first and third vehicles were killed.

A passenger in the first car was ejected from the vehicle and landed under a 4th vehicle. Good Samaritans removed the vehicle off him, and he was rushed to Metro.

The driver of the fourth vehicle saw the airborne car and turned her car to the right, crashing into the fifth vehicle. Both drivers were transported to Metro.

The driver of the sixth vehicle saw the accident, but couldn't stop in time and hit the third vehicle involved in the crash.

The seventh vehicle just had minor damage on the hood from flying debris.

Ford was arraigned on Tuesday - he pleaded not guilty and bond was set at $25,000.
