Canton man shot while walking his dog near elementary school

CANTON, OH (WOIO) -

Canton Police are investigating a shooting that took place on Thursday, May 2nd at 10:00 a.m. It happened just five blocks away from Worley Elementary School, causing the school go under lock down for about 30 minutes until the area was secure.

The 33-year-old male victim was shot two times while he was walking his dog on Myrtle Ave. NW.

He was then transported to Mercy Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

No arrests were made but police are looking for the driver of a gold minivan with tinted windows.
