Vinnie Pestano wasted no time with the Lansing Lugnuts in his rehab apperance for Lake County on Wednesday morning. He faced three batters and set them down on eight pitches. Balbino Fuenmayor struck out, Kevin Patterson and Chris Hawkins both grounded to first. Pestano's day was over just like that. Pestano worked the 2nd inning.
Afterwards he said his elbow "felt great," and at this point he's hoping to be back with the big league team by Friday.
Pestano had been dealing with an inflamed tendon on the outside of his elbow. The pain was far enough away from where he once had reconstructive surgery on the elbow that the team was not concerned about it being a major injury.
