Maryland Center Alex Len has reportedly met with the Cavaliers. The seven-foot one, 255 pound big man from the Ukraine just wrapped up his sophomore season for the Terrapins. He averaged 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game last season.
Len's representation recently announced that the center will miss the next 4-to-6 months after undergoing surgery for a stress fracture in his ankle.
Chad Ford of ESPN offers the following scouting report:
Len is a big, traditional center who can score in the paint or step outside and hit a jumper. He's still a work in progress; he needs guards who can get him the ball in the right position to score. But he moves very well for his size and is a good rebounder and shot-blocker.
Cavaliers' current center Tyler Zeller was recently named as to the NBA Rookie second team.
