Two men arrested in Akron quadruple homicide

Akron police have arrested two men in connection with a quadruple homicide from last month.

Deshanon Haywood, 21, and Derrick Brantley, 21, are charged with four counts of aggravated murder and four counts of aggravated robbery.

On April 18, one of the victim's friends discovered the bodies of Kem Delaney, Maria Nash, Ronald Roberts, and Kiana Welch in the basement of 42 Kimlyn Circle. The autopsy results revealed that each victim suffered multiple gunshots, including at least one gunshot to the head.

Haywood and Brantley were both charged with obstructing justice for providing false statements to homicide detectives during the investigation. Haywood was charged with obstructing justice on April 27.  At that time, Haywood was incarcerated in the Summit County Jail on unrelated charges and has been incarcerated since that time. Brantley was charged with obstructing justice on April 29, and has been incarcerated in the Summit County Jail as well.
