AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

A homeless man has been arrested after jumping into a woman's car and demanding money.

A 24-year-old woman reported she was stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of East Market Street and South Forge Street in Akron around 2 p.m. last Friday, when the suspect, Frank O. Dimenna, opened her passenger side door and got into her car.

The suspect said that he had a gun, but no gun was seen, and demanded money. The woman said that she didn't have any money and then pulled her car into a nearby business.

Dimenna demanded the woman to go to an ATM machine and get money. She refused, and he jumped out of her car and fled.

Dimenna, who is homeless, was arrested a short time later and has been charged with aggravated robbery.
