Second suspect arrested, another wanted for shooting of 12-year-old

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Police say a second suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting in which a 12-year-old girl was caught in the crossfire, a third suspect is wanted.

Toni Landers was shot in the chest after being caught in the crossfire during a shooting Sunday, May 28 in the area of Parkwood and Tacoma at a playground.

Authorities say a 17-year-old male has been arrested and police have issued a warrant for Tyre Williams of Cleveland, 18, for felonious assault.

Russell James, 20, is in police custody and has already been charged with felonious assault. Cops say he lives just steps away from the playground on Tacoma Avenue.

Landers was released from the hospital May 31st and is recovering at home.
