NORWALK, OH (WOIO) -

A murder mystery in Huron County. Police have two people they call "persons of interest," but have no idea where they are.

Police were called to an apartment on Baseline Road in Norwalk around 10 p.m. Sunday night. Officers found Daniel Hernandez, 24, lying face down in a pool of blood.

Neighbors tell 19 Action News Hernandez lived with two other men, brothers Misael and Hiram Lopez. They have since disappeared. The Sheriff believes they may be driving a silver 2004 Dodge Stratus with Virginia license plates.

The sheriff said nothing about a motive. Hernandez is from Venezuela and did farm work in the area. He was not a U.S. citizen.

The death is described as "extremely violent" by the Sheriff and one of the most violent scenes he's ever seen in his long career.

The Sheriff's Office, BCI and the U.S. Border Patrol are investigating.
