Seton high-jumper is state champion

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A Seton High School Junior is the 2013 Ohio Division 1 state champion for the high jump.

Loretta Blaut won with a jump of 5'7" at Saturday's Track and Field State Competition at Ohio State University.

Last week, Blaut set a Regional Championship with a high jump of 5'8", beating the previous record by set in 1988. Blaut's personal best is 5'9".

This is Blaut's first year on Seton's track and field team.

She is ranked within the top 5 of high school juniors nationally.
