CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A 2-year-old boy is expected to be ok after falling in an open space between a manhole and the sidewalk.

Police say the toddler was playing with some other kids near E. 64th and Butler when he slipped and fell into a hole.

He ended up falling right into a space where there was sewage.

Luckily someone was able to grab the boy and get him out of there.

He was rushed to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital for treatment.

Monday, when 19 Action News went out to the scene, we found crews out filling the hole with cement to make sure it doesn't happen again.
