West Springfield police searching for suspect who allegedly drove through convenience store

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

The West Springfield Police are requesting the public's help identifying the man who drove into a store early Tuesday morning. 

Police say at approximately 5 a.m. the male drove a van through the front door of the Quick Stop convenience store located at 20 River Street. 

According to police, the suspect caused great damage to the business in order to gain access to the store. Once he was inside several items were stolen. 

Police say the van was last seen traveling east on Memorial Avenue. 

Detectives are following up on several leads. 

Anyone recognizing the man in the photo or that has any related information is asked to call West Springfield Detective Bureau at 263-3210.
