Police searching for man who robbed bank in Halloween mask

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office needs the public's help finding a man who robbed a bank in Lambertville, MI Thursday morning. They say he robbed a teller at gunpoint wearing a Halloween skeleton-style ski mask.

Officials say it happened shortly after 9 a.m. at the Fifth Third Bank located at 3559 Sterns Road.

Deputies say a male suspect entered through the front doors, then approached a bank teller, revealing a hand gun and demanding money. The teller complied and the suspect fled with an undetermined amount of money.

Witnesses told police the suspect ran into the woods located just west of the bank.  

The suspect is described by witnesses as a male, approximately 6 feet tall, with a thin build, wearing a Halloween-style ski mask, long-sleeved light-colored shirt and tan khaki pants.

Although there were several customers in the bank at the time of the robbery, no one was injured.

The incident remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. Anyone with more information is urged to call the Monroe County Sheriff's Detective Bureau at 734-240-7530.
