North Attleborough, MA (WOIO) - Massachusetts authorities are expected to execute an arrest warrant for New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez. The warrant is for obstruction of justice in connection with a homicide investigation according to sources. The warrant was prepared after police discovered that Hernandez's home security system, along with his cellphone, were destroyed.
Helicopters from local TV stations followed Hernandez as he drove to Gillette Stadium on Thursday, and continued following him when he left an hour later. Fox 25 in Boston reported that Hernandez was with the victim, 27-year old Odin Lloyd, at a bar on Monday night. Hernandez and friends returned to Hernandez' without Lloyd, who was later found in a ditch about a mile away with a gunshot wound to the back of the head.
Neither the NFL, nor the Patriots, are commenting at this point.
