SOLON, OH (WOIO) -

A Cleveland woman was busted in Solon for stealing thousands of dollars worth of meat.

The alleged theft happened on June 15 just before 1 p.m. at the Giant Eagle on Aurora Road.

Loss prevention observed a woman in the store familiar to them from a previous arrest at the Giant Eagle in Fairview Park. The woman, who was accompanied by a small child, was observed placing cuts of meat in her purse and then leaving the store without paying for it.

She was confronted by a loss prevention officer outside of the store, but she became uncooperative and got into a car driven by a man and exited the parking lot.

Twinsburg police stopped the car a short time later.

Barbara Abdallah, 34, was arrested and charged with theft and taken to the Solon Jail.

$4,064.58 worth of meat was found in the car.
