GARFIELD HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

A little boy running a Kool-Aid stand to help raise money for his grandmother's funeral has touched the hearts of thousands.

19 Action News has been inundated with calls and emails from people about how they can help Michael Diamond, 8, and his family during this difficult time.

Michael's grandmother, Bobbie, passed away on Father's Day after a long battle with cancer at the age of 52.  The two were very close.

Michael heard his parents talking about covering her funeral costs and wanted to help. He set up his stand on Tuesday, and as of Friday morning, donations have totaled $1,100.

Funeral costs are around $5,000.

The cost of a large cup of Kool-Aid is $1, and a small cup is .50 cents.

Michael will have his stand up and running Friday through Sunday on Rockwood Road in Garfield Heights.
