Dangerous driver who fled traffic stop arraigned

WOOD COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A man who led authorities on a manhunt after fleeing a traffic stop in Wood County was arraigned Monday.

Police say the chase began after Patrick Hammond fled a traffic stop on Interstate 280 near the Ohio Turnpike in Lake Township Thursday. They say he pushed through an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper and ran away, dropping a loaded gun in the process.

Hammond remains in jail on more than $100,000 bond. He will be back in court for a preliminary hearing Thursday.
