Armed robbery at Radio Shack in North Canton

NORTH CANTON, OH (WOIO) -

A North Canton Radio Shack was robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday evening.

It happened shortly after 6 p.m. at the store on North Main Street.

Police tell 19 Action News the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. After the money was taken, the suspect fled on foot.

Luckily, no one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 20's, approximately 5'07"- 5'10" tall, 180lbs wearing dark blue jeans, a long white t-shirt and a black baseball cap with a red brim. He is also described as having small tattoos on his face near both eyes.

A woman was also in the store and left with the suspect. She is described as being in her late teens to early 20's, approximately 5'05 tall, 150lbs wearing blue jeans with decorative rear pockets, a blue coat with the hood up and a pink bandanna over her hair.

Approximately 20 minutes prior to armed robbery, the man and woman were observed at the BP Station at 1406 North Main Street where they entered the store and purchased items. At that time, they were believed to be with another person and in a light colored, possibly white or silver car.
