CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The storms Tuesday night in Lorain County dumped so much rain it created a creek in Marna Hoffman's back yard.

This time the water was clear up past a pole in her yard.

Her neighbor Ryan Reynolds, who was sweeping up some of the debris left behind, said the rain seemed to come down in buckets.  Reynolds explained, "It was like a blizzard I never saw anything like it before."

People in Muirwood Village in North Ridgeville have been through this before.  These storms are becoming an annual occurrence. But, it seems like it's getting worse and worse every year.

In Avon, the high winds pushed a tree through the roof of an unoccupied home off of route 611.

Insurance agent Jim Bummer has seen all kinds of weather damages such as water in basements and personal property blown around.

Storm leery residents are hoping for break in the weather so they can dry out and begin the clean up.
