CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

19 Action News Reporter Ed Gallek learned a man wanted for questioning about an attack on an elderly couple has turned himself in, but he's denying he had anything to do with it.

Multiple sources tell Gallek the man in security pictures turned himself in Wednesday night. He is currently being held in the central prison unit awaiting charges.

Last week, armed men broke into a home on Cleveland's west side and attacked an elderly couple. An 82-year-old man was beaten, and his 80-year-old wife was duct taped and stuffed inside the truck of a car. She was later found on the city's east side and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police say the suspects tried to use the couple's credit cards. No charges have been filed as investigators are still sorting through this.
