Baltimore, MD (WOIO) - The Indians had a chance to pull within two games of first-place Detroit on Thursday night, but the Baltimore Orioles had other ideas, breaking the game open in the fifth inning, and holding on for a 7-3 win.
Lonnie Chisenhall had staked the Tribe to a 1-0 lead in the second, on a solo home run, and followed that up with an RBI double in the fourth.
Mike Aviles also went deep, with a solo shot in the 5th.
But the Orioles exploded for five runs in the fifth off Corey Kluber, and never looked back.
The Indians move on to Chicago for a weekend series with the White Sox.
