CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A church music teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a teen was due in court on Friday.

Edwin Rosario, 33, is charged with sexual battery. Rosario was out on bond, and didn't show up for court on Friday. There is now a warrant out for him.

Rosario was a music teacher at the Oasis of the Desert Church located in Cleveland. Between January 1, and May 10, Rosario had sexual relations with a 17-year-old church member.

Rosario was arrested on May 12, at the Sea Shell Motel after traveling to Virginia Beach with the victim. Police were made aware when the victim called home to her uncle.

19 Action News Reporter Ed Gallek has also learned that Rosario pleaded guilty to gross sexual imposition back in 2002 and he got probation.
