CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The woman accused of killing her elderly mother was sentenced to prison on Friday.

Jacqueline Lang was sentenced 15 years to life. Lane apologized, and said she loved her mother and didn't mean to hurt her.

Lang blamed her mental sickness for the deadly attack.

On September 14, 2012, Lang, 54, came home after drinking at Larkin's Bar. Her 72-year-old mother, Willa-Dean Miller, with whom Lang lived, told Lang that "she was not having it anymore."

Lang grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her mother, 72, several times. She then grabbed a shovel and hit her mother in the head with it. The victim had fallen inside the front door and Lang then used the shovel to push her mother back into the home and close the door.

Lang was found wandering down a street, naked and holding a shovel.

On June 11, Lang pleaded guilty to murder, kidnapping, felonious assault and domestic violence.
