CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Police have charged the man suspected in a home invasion on the city's west side in connection with the incident.

Ronald Ellis has been charged with receiving stolen property, aggravated burglary, felonious assault, kidnapping and robbery.

Ellis is scheduled to appear in court Saturday morning.

Ellis was wanted for questioning about an attack on an elderly couple and turned himself in Wednesday night.  He denied he had anything to do with it.

Last week, armed men broke into a home on Cleveland's west side and attacked an elderly couple. An 82-year-old man was beaten, and his 80-year-old wife was duct taped and stuffed inside the truck of a car. She was later found on the city's east side and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police say the suspects tried to use the couple's credit cards. No charges have been filed as investigators are still sorting through this.
