Brother charged in murder of Bellevue man

BELLEVUE, KY (FOX19) -

A man is being held at the Campbell County Detention Center, accused of murdering his brother.

Police were called to the 100 block of Ward Avenue at around 12:30 a.m. on Monday morning on a report of a shooting.

Officers and medics responded and found Randall Sturgeon, 52, of Bellevue, inside the residence suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Sturgeon had reportedly been involved in a dispute with his brother, who fired a shot from a handgun. According to a police report, the brothers had been arguing over the rights to a computer and Wi-fi for several days, and the argument escalated overnight.

Anthony Sturgeon, 53, is now facing murder charges for his brother's death. Police say both lived at the home, and Anthony Sturgeon was the one who called 911.

The case remains under investigation.

Bond for Anthony Sturgeon was set at $500,000 during an arraignment on Monday morning. He was appointed a public defender and had a preliminary hearing set for July 11.
