Dangerous fugitive wanted for breaking into Painesville home, raping woman

PAINESVILLE, OH (WOIO) -

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Melvin Allen.

Allen is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Lake County Sheriff's Office. Allen is wanted for aggravated burglary and rape. It is alleged that back in October of 2012 Allen broke into a Painesville women's home and raped her.

Allen is a 29-year-old black man standing approximately 6'01" and weighing 205 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Allen is believed to be hiding somewhere in or around Painesville. He also has a previous address near the 1800 block of Torbinson Dr. in Cleveland.
