Kansas City, MO (WOIO) - It's never easy when the Indians square off with the Royals, and on Tuesday night, it also wasn't pretty, but the Tribe found a way to take another one, holding on for a 6-5 win at Kauffman Stadium.
Luis Mendoza struggled early for the Royals, walking Carlos Santana with the bases full to force in Michael Brantley, and then hitting Mark Reynolds to force in the second run of the inning.
Asdrubal Cabrera followed that up with a two-run single in the fourth to make it 4-0. But Alex Gordon took Corey Kluber deep for a grand slam in the fifth, to tie it at four, before the Tribe answered with two more in the 7th.
