Posted: Updated:
LAKEWOOD, OH (WOIO) -

The city of Lakewood is taking precautions so that everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday.

If you plan on attending the fireworks at Lakewood Park Thursday evening, officials want residents to know that they will be checking bags and coolers for harmful devices.

Officials say camping out in the park all day is no longer permitted.

Also, keep in mind, there are no dogs allowed in the park during the fireworks.
