ELYRIA, OH (WOIO) -

There was quite the stink in an Elyria neighborhood caused by Tammy Wilson who made the front page of the local paper because her pets are a couple of pigs - literally.

"I was accused of not cleaning up after my animals," said Tammy.

Problem with her two pot bellied pigs, Fred and Diamond is they turned their back yard which is now grown over into, well a pig sty and neighbors complained of the smell.

"We would sit on our porch.  We could smell the odor coming over here. And you know pigs love mud.  That back yard had been nothing but mud, total mud," said one neighbor.

Complaints about the pigs began last September.

The Weltons who live next door even took pictures of their droppings and gave them to city officials.

Faced with jail time if she did not solve her pig problem, Tammy gave her pet pigs, Fred and Diamond, away yesterday.  They went to Little Critters Farms.

Tammy Wilson says she'll return to court Monday to show the judge the pigs are gone, the problem is solved and she should avoid jail time.
