WICKLIFFE, OH (WOIO) -

The driver of a 1989 Mercedes Benz lost control of the car and nearly crashed into a Wickliffe home Thursday night.

According to police, the 74-year-old driver was traveling down Euclid Avenue at a high speed when he turned on Ridgewick Drive and lost control of the vehicle.

Witnesses say the driver slammed into a parked car, spun across three lawns, and nearly crashed into a home before the car stopped.

Police suspect that alcohol may have been a factor in this accident.

The driver refused to take a sobriety test.
