CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Shane French, 37 appeared before a judge Saturday morning after the radio disc jockey landed himself in some hot water.

French, Rover from Rover's Morning Glory radio show, was arrested early Friday morning at Whiskey Island by Cleveland Police.

He appeared in court for charges of aggravated disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, fireworks and assault.

Police say Rover and Toomey, a sidekick from Rover's Morning Glory were "highly intoxicated and refused to stop."

At that time the men started shooting fireworks at the officer, "nearly hitting him."

The report goes on to say that Rover got rowdy, grabbing the officer's shirt, even pushed him with both hands in his back -- saying, " I don't believe you're a police officer," even after the officer flashed his badge.

Rover was then told he was under arrest but ran away with his partner in crime.

A judge set French's bond at $5,000.  He's expected to post that bond.

No next court date was given.
