Man arrested in Walnut Hills kidnapping, robbery & assaults

A man has been taken into custody in connection with kidnapping, assault and aggravated robbery early Friday morning in Walnut Hills.

Cincinnati Police arrested Jeffrey Portis, 22, after a series of offenses in the 2400 block of Gilbert Avenue around 1:30 a.m.

An investigation by the Homicide Unit, Safe Streets Unit and Fugitive Unit led to Portis' arrest.

We previously reported on an offense involving Portis back in 2010 where police say he tased two officers

Portis has been charged with felonious assault, aggravated robbery and kidnapping. He is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
