The Cleveland Browns dropped 4 spots out of the top 30 for Forbes Magazine's annual listings of the world's most valuable sports franchises. Ranked at 34, the Browns have an estimated value of $987 million, actually $10 million higher than in 2012.
Forbes list debuted in 1998 and is compiled on evaluations from NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, NASCAR, Formula 1, and soccer franchises. The top 3 spots on this year's list are all held by European football (soccer) clubs, however the NFL dominated the top 50 spots with all but two teams making the cut. The Rams, and Jaguars at (51), and (52). respectively.
While the Browns rank 21st among NFL franchise on the list, neither the Cavs or Indians landed on the top 50 list.
