CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The man accused of killing his girlfriend at her job was in court on Tuesday.

Maurice Brown pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder. His bond was set at $1M.

Police say Brown walked into the Metal Fabrication Company in Cleveland on Saturday and shot 29-year-old Doris Schobel multiple times in the back.

Records show the shooting happened after Schobel had a long argument with someone on the phone. Records also show Schobel showed co-workers a picture of a man on her phone and told them, if she ended up dead, he would be the one who did it.

19 Action News Reporter Ed Gallek has learned Schobel filed two recent police reports against Brown. One was on July 6 for criminal damaging and one on June 28 for domestic violence.
